San Pedro

(Lake Atitlan)

Looking for a way, behind the village, to go up on the mountain, I ran into these two lovelies, who were on the bus from Antigua to Panajachel with me, then immediately ferried to here. They, too, were trying to go up, but were afraid to do it by themselves, because they had heard stories of robberies on the mountain. We joined forces and I promised to keep it safe. We mainly wanted to get some views and some exercise. We got both.

You can see, we got pretty high above the lake level and then stopped at an inn that had a viewing platform

On the way down we saw coffee being grown there, and this odd plant
I also saw this nice grandma and her grandkids, and could not walk by without a picture - I asked first
Almost back in town. They had girl appointments, massages and such, and I had a boat to catch. Great day!!

After a good cup of coffee, I headed to the docks and climbed aboard 'Fatima' who, so I was told, would give me a ride back to Panajachel. Fatima was willing and I was happy.
This beauty is from Nicaragua, and works somewhere in the lake area. May have given her a card, not sure

Another one of those girls who work here and who speaks excellent Spanish
